Although the Unitarians are short on tradition, one of our local ones is the celebration of the Winter Soltice. Deb will be exploring the origins and beliefs around this time of year followed by a Brunch.

We'll be meeting at the Busking Beach House on the 20th at 10am.

Summer is just about on it's way out and Fall is creeping up on us and that means a new season is about to start. Although we normally have a service on the 1st and 3rd Sunday's of the month we are making a slight change in September because of Labor day weekend. So our 1st meeting will be on the 20th and we'll be meeting at the Buskin River Beach house at 10am. Please bring some food to share because it will be an informal potluck to start the season off.

This is also a kickoff for our Flats outreach program. We've often felt that we haven't been able to provide access to folks in the flats so we are going to be making an attempt to open our doors by having our 3rd Sunday programs at the Beachhouse for the rest of the calendar year. This means that we want you to encourage anyone in the flats to come on down and see if we are a good fit for them.

For those of you who hadn't heard - we are now on Summer schedule; which means that we don't meet during the months of July and August. We'll pick up again on the 6th of September for our annual Fall restart meet and greet. See you then.

The Annual Meeting will be held on the 18th of January. The format will include reports from our officers and then we'll hold a board meeting after word to confirm positions and elect new officers if needed.
